A New Beginning

The Book Mind

When I finished writing my last book on May 2nd, I decided to publish one of the six manuscripts sitting in my drawer, written at the beginning of 2024: The Psychological Autopsy of an Alpha Male, and to take a break from writing. I also decided to pick up reading again, specifically books outside my professional field of psychology.

So, I create a new category on my blog, “The Book Mind,” where I can write about the books I read, since reading has always brought me a sense of peace and relaxation.

When I read, I feel like every world within those pages becomes mine, as if I were standing beside the author as they write, setting off alongside the characters on their adventures.

I realize I’m addicted to reading, partly because learning to read was so difficult for me as a child due to my dyslexia. Because I worked so hard to learn, being able to read now feels like a reward, Because when I was a child, learning to read was like climbing a mountain where I occasionally fell because the weather wasn’t on my side.

But here I am now, reading as if tomorrow doesn’t exist.
